We delivered 19 affordable homes 15 houses and 4 flats on a technically challenging sloped site in Huddersfield for Unity and Horton Housing.
Each home was designed to maximise light, space, and liveability, with off-street parking, generous gardens, and efficient layouts enhancing both usability and kerb appeal.
The site’s topography and surrounding boundaries required a carefully developed levels strategy. Working closely with Watson Batty Architects, we introduced terraced gardens, retaining structures, and integrated staircases to ensure buildability and long-term durability.
The scheme was based on house types developed for Accent Housing’s consortium bid, with our team progressing these through to construction stage. This collaboration reduced defect risk and ensured compliance with all technical standards.
Despite pandemic-related pressures, we maintained open communication and effective coordination, completing the project in July 2022 to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
